Compostable containers are safe in the oven at 140°C for 45 minutes, passing the EU 10/2011 standard tests. In addition to food safety, they also offer advantages in the workplace, as the outer surface of compostable trays does not heat up, thus avoiding burns during handling. In addition, the rigidity of the tray remains unchanged during exposure to high temperatures.
Also suitable for microwaves, operating perfectly for up to 5 minutes at 750W or 3 minutes at 900W. As in a conventional oven, the outer surface of the tray is not heated, and the tray does not lose its stiffness.
It is suitable for freezers up to -40°C without altering the packaging, without the organoleptic qualities of the food. They can go from the freezer directly to the oven or microwave without altering the performance of the tray.
It’s not only recyclable solutions (recyclable as paper and cardboard) but they go one step further: they are 100% compostable and can therefore be disposed of with organic waste and create a quality compost. They meet all the requirements in the European Norm EN 13432 under the OK-Compost conformity mark (issued by TÜV AUSTRIA).
